At Whitman, she earned a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, with a minor in Fine Art, played NCAA DIII volleyball, and spent a semester studying Globalization and European Economies in Copenhagen, Denmark. She was inducted into Whitman's chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society during her senior year.
